I’ve had this storage unit for years and was paying $186/month with CubeSmart. Three months ago, Extra Space took over the facility, and I just received a notice that my rent is increasing to $262/month, a $76 jump after only three months. That’s a 40% increase with no added value. It seems like every time Extra Space acquires a storage facility, rates go up. Definitely not affordable anymore.
