I wish I could have left a zero. Since I just left an exceptional Extra Space storage facility in The Villages, I decided to use them here in Port Richey where I just moved. Sadly, I just had a negative experience with the Port Richie office manager (Michael) while trying get into a unit I previously reserved over the phone. Upon receiving an email that said "We are ready for you!", I thought, wow, this place is on it and was looking forward to another great experience. Once I was buzzed in the door around 4 PM, I was greeted by Michael with the question "Why are you here?" I thought, Humm, that's an odd question but proceeded with "I am here to check-in." Michael looked at me bewildered and said "Check-in? What does that even mean?" I told him the Extra Space storage in The Villages knew exactly what it meant when I checked in there. I told him, it means I am here to get into my reserved storage unit that I made over the phone. He responded in a rude manner saying, he had been working for Extra Space for several years and never heard that before. I was not there to argue with him so I told him to cancel my reservation, I will take my business elsewhere. Suggestion: Please send Michael back to customer appreciation school if he is to continue being a manager there (or anywhere).

The way you were greeted and treated does not reflect the standards we hold our team to, and we completely understand your frustration.
