Wonderful customer service from David! ??

I visited this facility while helping a friend move The facility is only open 10am-6pm, so don't plan on late night visits. The gate has a majorly long entry code (good for security, must be entered upon entry & exit), be aware that entry and exit gates go UP and don't slide left/right. It's a little weird, but whatever; if you've got a large vehicle/moving truck, you might want to call the office and see what the gate clearance is. The grounds outside were immaculate - no trash, no carts, no bs to trip over. The rows looked big enough for 2 vehicles to move past each other without holding your breath. The building has 2 levels and is climate controlled. I noticed 3 trolly carts to aid in shlepping your stuff in/out, and there's an elevator that was in working condition (didn't see any stairs, but who would want them?). Didn't see a restroom, but I also didn't go looking for one. If there is one, though, I'm willing to bet it'd be clean, like the rest of the facility. All the units looked clean and in good working condition from the outside. No graffiti, no dents in walls, no burned out lights, no funny smells or questionable drips. The A/C was in good working condition and seemed to be within the advertised temperature range - I wasn't shivering or hot. Your mileage can/will vary. The unit my friend was moving into was a good size for one person's stuff, clean inside and didn't smell funny or have any leaks anywhere, the rope for the door wasn't nasty or greasy or frayed. I think their lock system is really secure - directional key plus sliding door lock that was nice and very tight, which made me feel good about friend's stuff staying put. Two things to note about the building - the aisles of units are kinda narrow, as in you're not getting by other people who are moving stuff in an aisle, so find another path. The other point of note is that I didn't see any designated parking for people loading/unloading by the building. I had to pull my car up to a side door and leave my hazards on, and I know I would have been blocking at least one outdoor unit if I'd stayed there longer than 15 minutes or was there during a busy time (whenever that might be, check here in Google Maps to find out). Be prepared to squeeze by other vehicles at the exit gate, as there are outdoor units almost all the way up to it. Put in that long code again, gate goes UP, exit out onto Michigan Road. Be prepared to wait a bit if you're turning left. Friend said the office person was nice and he's happy with where his things will be, with the exception of the hours during which he can access his things and that he had to pay for 4 months to get his unit. As a friend helping someone move, I'm very happy with this facility and wouldn't hesitate to store my own things here! (Only giving 4 stars due to not seeing a restroom and really narrow indoor aisles.)
