Easy to set up space rental from web site. After I completed the rental, I got a call very soon after from the manager asking if I had any questions, etc. Then she followed up again a few days later. Also like that they supplied the lock for the unit.

Well, it's nice to have a spot to store extra stuff, but ESS neglected to notify my mom that her monthly rate would be doubling. She wasn't made aware that the rate she was getting was a 3 month special. She has a small unit as well. Her rate went from $33 to $66. They should have been upfront about the pricing. Even now on there website the true pricing isn't reflected. I would stir clear of ESS if you're looking for a storage unit.
