I will be more than happy to remove this review if I can reliably access my units. As it stands though, I leased 3 units at a facility with 24/7 access and then maybe a week or so later the facility was under new ownership, the access keypad came down, and access became nearly impossible. The posted hours on Google, the company website, etc say 6am to 10pm, which would be perfectly fine. I don’t need in there at 3am or anything crazy. But I work a normal 9-5 job, and in my experience so far, the gate is not usually open before about 9:30, so I can’t use it in the morning. Typically it’s been closed when I tried at night. Do you think the gate is open on the weekend when I’m actually doing chores around the house and stuff? Nope. ????? In an age where an AI assistant can answer your phone 24/7 for cheap, did anyone—even a robot—answer the phone when I called to ask about resolving the access challenge? Nope. I have bought and sold businesses, and I sympathize with a transition being painful. I’ve been trying to patiently give it some time for things to settle. But at this point it’s been like 6 weeks, which is MORE than enough time to sort out the sorts of things troubling me. New owner: I don’t want to leave a 1 star review. I left you a voicemail with my phone number. Contact me and give me a way to actually access my units when I need to get to them and I will gladly delete this review.

Fear of retaliation in writing this review, but believe it to be fair and honest while giving the company areas that they may quickly correct to improve our experience and the experience of others. Since Extra Space Storage took over the former 10 Federal facility, our experience has been troubling. Although our business units were paid in full, we were locked out without notice or a clear explanation and asked for additional proof of ownership. We were also accused of actions we maintain did not occur and felt we were treated differently from other customers. During a meeting, employee Hunter disputed documents the company had sent us and demanded copies. When I asked for his last name, he said he felt threatened and threatened to call police if we did not leave. After we complied, he followed us outside, accused us of harassment, and told us we were unsafe. We have recordings that we believe contradict his claims that we were rude or threatening. We also raised concerns about unequal treatment and later witnessed another customer apparently being locked out and issued a no-trespass order after becoming upset. The timing raised concerns about retaliation, though we recognize the company may have additional context. We understand that new ownership may change policies, but those policies should be applied consistently and fairly. We hope management will investigate these events, address the loss of access to paid units, and work toward a fair resolution.
