We had to move out of our place last year. I called extra space and the gentleman on the phone said as long as we paid in advance the price wouldn't go up. This turned out not to be true. After 6 months the price doubled and 6 months later it was set to double again. We moved out and when our unit was emptied we could see that the entire floor was covered in mouse poo. I will never put stuff in storage again.

Cost doubled every 6 months, when we emptied the unit it was filled with mouse poop and the entire place smells like moth balls. I am not sure if all storage units are like this, but honestly, not worth it at all.
