UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE : I contacted corporate, which finally resulted in a phone call apparently the only way to get anyone’s attention. Ironically, the please contacts us response below was for show because they simply gave me the same phone number for the storage facility. When the site manager called me, she told me that Extra Space Storage was not at fault because “that’s what you signed up for.” I was also told they would not provide my original incident report or any information related to my claim unless it was subpoenaed. After losing over $20,000 worth of property, I left that conversation feeling like my concerns were dismissed instead of taken seriously. Based on my experience, I would never trust this facility with my belongings. If you choose to rent here, ask detailed questions about their security measures and what happens if your property is stolen before signing anything. DO NOT RENT HERE. I lost over $20,000 worth of property from my storage unit, and I believe an employee was responsible. I reported my concerns to management, but instead of addressing them, I was completely ignored. I was told there was nothing they could do, and the employee I reported was transferred to another location. To make matters worse, there are no security cameras covering the storage units. A storage facility with no cameras protecting customers’ belongings is unacceptable. Store your valuables somewhere else. I deeply regret trusting this facility and would never recommend it to anyone.
