I recently moved my things out of this Extra Space Storage location, but wanted to leave a review because my entire experience with the folks here has been great. Joan was the manager I interacted with the most, and I really appreciated her proactiveness in monitoring the units, and her help walking through the move-out process (which was incredibly simple and seamless)! This location is convenient to downtown Durham, and unlike many other storage spaces in the area, is heavily shaded/surrounded by trees which helps keep the building cool even in NC Summers where the AC is always in a constant battle. I'm not a fan of Extra Space Storage's approach to 'adjustments/re-evaluations' to unit rent (our rental rate increased from ~$220/mo upon initial move-in and signing to up to $520/mo upon move out 3 years later for what I believe is their largest unit) but recognize that 1) this is an issue with corporate as opposed to the great people that work here and 2) is unfortunately a common approach within the industry.
