When I first rented this storage unit, I was paying around $80 per month, if I remember correctly. I chose this facility specifically because that price worked within my budget. Unfortunately, the price continued to increase—first to around $150 and eventually to approximately $250 per month. Had I known the rate would increase that drastically, I would not have continued storing my belongings here. Because of the significant price increases, there were times I fell behind and ended up paying around $303 per month for the last couple of months. That’s a substantial amount of money to pay for a storage unit, especially one advertised as climate-controlled. What made the experience even more disappointing was what we found when we came to remove our belongings. There were mouse droppings throughout the unit, which was absolutely disgusting. When we returned the following day, we actually saw a mouse roaming around inside the storage unit. All of our belongings were clothing, shoes. Cleaning supplies. House decorations. Furniture. No food at all. So this was absurd. I’ve rented storage units before and have never experienced anything like this. Some of our belongings were contaminated with what appeared to be mouse urine and feces, which is completely unacceptable considering how much money we paid to keep our belongings there. I rented a climate-controlled storage unit because I expected my belongings to be kept in a clean, protected, and properly maintained environment. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. After spending so much money, I’m extremely disappointed and don’t feel the service or conditions were worth what I paid.
