Due to overcrowding in my home I decided to go with renting out a storage unit to free up some space. As I searched around and went through several locations reading reviews I decided to go with Extra Space Storage off of Park Row in Katy. Upon arrival I was greeted and very well take care of by Rudy Castro, he went the extra mile to show me around the building and go through how everything operates. Even walked me to my new storage unit and just made the process very welcoming making me feel content and safe about having my personal items within the building. With my experience here a review was very well deserved for both Rudy and the Company!

To start off with, extra space is a very great company to store your items as they have many accommodating options. Id like to outline my experience specifically with my vehicle while currently being stored there and how the manager at this location tried his best to accommodate me. I give it 4 stars because my vehicle had been a victim of theft and other measure could have been taken to help prevent. As I have had my vehicle parked there for over a year I have experienced some vandalism. In Parking space #27.. I own a 2017 Chevy Tahoe premier editon. Nothing requiring an insurance claim but definitely noticeable things happening. I’m in the trucking industry and I go periods without driving my vehicle and I picked extra space as the secure lot of choice to store it. And one of the first things we do as truckers is always do a walk around our vehicles before we drive. It’s habit.. Turns out first my license plate was stolen shortly before Xmas of 2023 and one of my Chevy emblem on the back of the vehicle. Then end of January I noticed my front Chevy emblem was stolen and in March a chrome piece that outlines the fog light on the passenger side was also stolen. So basically my expensive ride was being treated like a pull apart. I’ve explained this all the times to personnel there at there and I was just told to file insurance claim and also I was alerted the space I was leasing for parking the camera view doesn’t capture anything there. And perhaps I could consider other parking in the area from other storage facilities as they were currently out of garage storage units and I was in open parking lot. So basically I was in a blind spot from camera which was perfect for theft. I don’t really understand a camera system at a multi million dollar corporation that doesn’t cover all angles and has blind spots with customer items in the mix. Recently I spoke with the Rudy Castro the manager of this facility and alerted him as what was happening and he gave his sincere apologies as he was not aware of what was happening to my vehicle and he did his best to reserve me one of the 2 garage units available and help transfer me into a more secure space. He was very kind also and really wanted to help make things work for me despite all that had been Vandelized. I really appreciate him because as a family man who has an expensive vehicle also he could relate to how valuable our vehicles are to our families an he tried his best to support me. He also went as far as to help guide me into the garage space as it was a secure fit for my vehicle and required attention when maneuvering into the unit. I’d like to really appreciate Rudy! He’s caring supportive and extremely attentive to customer needs and will try his best for anyone. Although I still have Emblems missing and chrome piece bezel from the fog light of my vehicle Rudy helped to deaden further vandalizing while on the extra space storage property. Thank you again Rudy for helping find a resolution for my vehicle. Many blessings ????
