I leased my storage unit with Coy about 20 minutes before closing, and she was an absolute pleasure to work with. Even though it was nearly time for her to go home, she was patient, friendly, and made the entire process easy. She truly has a positive attitude, and I would gladly lease with her again. When I first leased my unit, there was an active HVAC leak in the facility that had overflowed onto the floor. Coy was cleaning it up while still taking the time to provide excellent customer service. She handled the situation professionally despite dealing with the leak, and her positive attitude never changed. Unfortunately, my experience after that was disappointing. I was instructed to download the facility’s app to access the building and gates, but the app has been unreliable and not worth the space on my phone. The very next day, I witnessed other tenants locked out because neither their access codes nor the app were working. My biggest concern is the climate-controlled unit. When I returned the next day, the temperature was 80 degrees, and my belongings were actually sweating. I called the office and spoke with Nikki, who I later learned is the store manager. I explained my concerns, but she told me that 80 degrees is the normal temperature for the climate-controlled units. After I mentioned that my belongings were sweating, she simply stated that it gets even hotter when people are coming in and out of the building. That response was concerning because, naturally, customers will be accessing their storage units throughout the day. Since I currently live about an hour and a half away until I move, I asked if she could simply check the facility map to see whether there was an available unit located near a fan that I could transfer to. Instead, I was told I would have to drive to the facility before she would even look. Given the distance, I found that response unhelpful and disappointing. Coy provided outstanding customer service, but my experience with the facility, the access system, and the manager has left me dissatisfied. Because of these issues, I do not plan to renew my lease beyond this month. I only wish I could continue working with Coy, but unfortunately, she only works when Nikki is off.
