What I did not expect was what followed: in just six months, that same unit has climbed again to $115 per month. That is nearly a 100% increase on the standard rate in half a year. Before raising concerns, I did my due diligence. I contacted multiple storage providers across the area to compare pricing trends and market behavior. The conclusion was clear: this is not reflective of the broader market. Competitors, even those with slightly higher initial rates, demonstrate far more pricing stability, and fairness which is reflected in their stronger customer satisfaction and reviews. This issue does not exist in a vacuum. Families right now are navigating impossible decisions, choosing between essentials like utilities, food, and housing. Against that backdrop, this level of escalation feels less like standard business practice and more like opportunistic pricing. I plan to bring attention to this issue through my platform of over 50,000 followers on TikTok, and I will be engaging with other Utah-based creators whose audiences reach into the millions. Not to inflame, but to inform, and to ask a fair question: where is the line between business growth and community responsibility? This situation is deeply disappointing. Not just as a customer, but as a member of a community that expects better from the companies operating within it.
