Overall, my experience was very good. The facility was clean, access is easy and the staff were always very friendly and helpful. So, why did I move out? Moved in November 2023 on a promotion that ended two months after I moved in so I expected a rent increase to what they call "market rate". No big deal I was expecing that. Unfortunately, they sent notice in May 2024 (just 7 months later) that they were raising my rent again $100 for a new rental rate of $350. I might have stayed but the uncertainty of their market rate rent adjustments make Extra Space a bad choice for me. I moved my stuff to U-Haul whose charging me only $200 (in DC, What!) for the same 10x10 unit.
