Now it is unaffordable for us and are going to have to find somewhere else to move our stuff to.

I'm getting so sick of these companies screwing over consumers. After a short promotion period for storing my camper van, my monthly charge went from $93 a month to $164! Nearly double. They lost me as a customer, so in order to make an extra $60 a month, they lost $100, just for being greedy. A warning to anyone considering dealing with Extra Space Storage, be prepared for large monthly increases.

If you dont like being lied to and if you'd rather deal with people who have ethics, do not do business with this place. My non promotional rate for a 10x10 was sixty-five a month. When my 3rd month came due, I went into the app to make my payment and without any explanation or forewarning, my rate shot up to one hundred & thirty seven a month. Thinking there had to be a mistake, I called the office to hopefully get a handle on whatever was going on. When a representative got on the line, I asked him what was up with the increase and clarified the fact that I wasn't under any kind of 2 month promotion. He confirmed that I was not, but because all the other storage facilities in that general area had raised their rates, all he was doing was following suit. Not having much in the way of experience in storing my stuff and having gone through some major life changes that involved relocating back to the Denver-Metro from Longmont, I found his reasoning and their approach to be totally unacceptable. Unfortunately I was in a jam and couldn't get my stuff out of there in February, but I did get it out of there this month. I scheduled my move out for the 3rd but got to it a day early. They made it crystal clear for me though that they never deserved my business in the 1st place because they left a msg in my vm box saying that they would have to charge me a pro-rated amount since I scheduled my move out 3 days after my due date. On top of all that, their app is horrible and everytime I used it, I was left with the impression that, like way too many other corpse-orations in this country, they're all about one thing... That sorry piece of paper called the Federal Reserve Note.
