Customer service and deceptive advertisements leave a lot to be desired. I'm using Extra Space Storage again against my better judgement. There is a sign on the building that says first month free. The storage prices quoted to me onsite were very high. I was directed to do an online reservation, and I noted that a 4th of July sale and a Military discount was posted, however, I was told that neither was available. I upgraded the storage unit that I had initially reserved on Friday, July 3rd. When I made the initial reservation, I informed the receptionist that I had a key and did not need to purchase an additional key. I was told that I would get reimbursed for the key, because the system would not allow the bypass. I mentioned to the customer service agent on Friday that the fee had not been reimbursed. She informed me that I had to go to both of the units that I reserved and return both keys to that were in the unit back to her before any discounts could be processed. This was not mentioned to me when I informed them that I did not need an additional key. I complied; however, this is not the way to treat paying customers (especially senior citizens). This will be the last time that I will use Extra Space Storage
