I recently acquired two units at the 1935 West Broadway location in Phoenix from Extra Space Storage. I obtained a new debit card and my automatic payment did not go through and I did not realize until after a couple weeks went by. I then tried to access my personal belongings in my units to find out that I was completely restricted from the property , gate and all entryway doors and they're was also red company padlocks put on my storage units in less than 2 weeks after a missed payment. I find this to be quite excessive and very unnecessary. I could understand if I was a month or two behind on payments but in less than 2 weeks? Regardless , I obtained my new debit card and I set up automatic payments and brought my account current and up-to-date. I contacted the store location and spoke with Tiffany the manager and informed her and questioned her about the locks on my unit. She verified for me that the payment had been made and she promised me that she would remove the locks by the end of the day before she leaves so that I may access my personal belongings tonight when I make the trip down here all the way from Scottsdale to access my stuff. Come to find out after driving 30 Miles to get here late night the locks are still preventing me from accessing my personal belongings inside my storage container. I had multiple items inside my storage container that I have recently sold on Craigslist and needed to acquire them to give to the new owners tonight. This is the second night in a row that I have wasted over $50 in gasoline commuting way up in North Scottsdale all the way down here in South Phoenix to obtain an access my belongings. My account is current and I was promised that the locks were going to be removed off my containers so that I could gain access to my belongings. This is the first time I have ever needed to use services from any stores facility and I will definitely not be renting units from Extra Space Storage in the future. It has been nothing but a hassle since I reserved this unit. Another wasted trip another wasted night driving all the way down here trying to get into my units that I pay for that my account is current on is absolutely ridiculous. The office is closed and there are no employees on site so I cannot access my goods and I cannot fill out a questionnaire or do anything of the sort. Frankly it is just infuriating!
