During my recent move, I realized at the last minute that I needed a storage unit as I was downsizing. I was thrilled to find a newer Extra Space Storage facility just up the street from my new place. The entire rental process was easy to complete online, and I only needed to stop by the office on my move-in date to finish up—perfect for a hectic moving day. Hudson, who was filling in that day, was courteous and very helpful. Less than a week later, I realized I needed a slightly larger unit. When I stopped by to see about upsizing, I had the pleasure of working with the manager, Deryk, who has been wonderful to engage with every time I’ve been at the facility. He let me view my upsizing options in person, found me the unit size I wanted just two units over, and handled the lease transfer smoothly and painlessly, which I truly appreciated. The facility itself is extremely clean and well maintained, inside and out. The staff, customer service, technology, and communication have all been excellent. My only minor critique—more for senior management—is that on-site managers should have the ability to match online pricing at their discretion. In my case, transferring units was clearly easier for everyone, yet the new unit was slightly more expensive than the online price, which can add up over time. Unfortunately, this wasn’t something Deryk was able to adjust, which was a bit disappointing. That said, I highly recommend this Extra Space Storage facility and would absolutely use them again.
