Overall, my experience with Extra Space Storage was mixed. On the positive side, the facility was always clean, well-maintained, and secure. Every employee I interacted with was kind, professional, and genuinely helpful throughout my time there. My biggest frustrations were with the business practices rather than the staff. The frequent monthly rate increases felt excessive and difficult to justify. Additionally, I paid to extend my move-out date because I thought I would need the extra time. I ended up finishing my move sooner than expected, and my unit was marked as moved out before the date I had requested and paid for. While customer service was able to process a refund quickly and it only took a few minutes to resolve, it was disappointing that the move-out was finalized early without my approval. The employees and facility itself deserve praise, but the pricing practices and handling of the move-out process left room for improvement.
