RAT INFESTATION – COMPANY FAILED TO NOTIFY TENANTS This company has been aware of an ongoing rat infestation and failed to notify tenants so we could check on or move our belongings before they were damaged. We only discovered the issue because we happened to stop by our unit, only to find extensive damage from rats. Much of our property had been chewed, and there was even a dead rat inside the unit (see attached photos). While we were there, the exterminator stated that this had been an ongoing problem. Despite that, the company never contacted customers to warn them or give us the opportunity to protect our belongings. To make matters worse, the front desk employee, Annie, was rude and offered no assistance. When I asked why tenants had not been notified so they could make other arrangements, she had no explanation and instead argued with me and repeatedly talked over me. We are now left with damaged belongings, the stress of having to move everything on short notice, and the expense of replacing items that were ruined—all while paying nearly $300 per month for a storage unit the company knew had a rat infestation.
It's unfortunate to hear about the infestation and property damage, Jacy. Please contact us at (714) 895-9510 so we can address this immediately.
