Nice amount of space and friendly staff. However, rent was doubled in the matter of 3 months and facility accessed my unit and replaced my lock with no notice.

Finding a long-term storage unit in the Bay Area that doesn’t raise prices sky-high is nearly impossible. I moved to this Extra Space Storage location after shopping around and explaining my past experiences with other companies. The staff was friendly, professional, and gave me helpful advice about calling when rate increases happen so they can try to freeze your rate—something I’d never heard of before but appreciated the transparency. I rented an 8x14 unit for around $140/month, which felt fair—until about 4–5 months later when it jumped to $248. That kind of increase was exactly what I was hoping to avoid, which was frustrating after being a long-term renter at other locations that stayed steady for years. Aside from pricing, the facility itself is great. The property is clean, secure, and easy to access, though parking at the front gate can get a little tight. They’ve also made noticeable upgrades to the doors and locks, which are smoother and much easier to use now. Overall, my experience as a customer was positive—the staff and security setup are solid—but the rapid price increases make long-term storage tough to justify. If you only need storage short-term, this is a great option.

I’ve had a great experience with Extra Space Storage. We have several units and they are clean, secure, and easy to access. They also have someone on site for added security, which gives me extra peace of mind. What really stands out is the excellent management. Tony is attentive, professional, and always goes the extra mile to make sure everything runs smoothly. I’ve worked with other storage facilities before, and this one is better than most by far. It’s becoming rare to find this level of customer service and safety, and it makes a big difference. Highly recommend!
