Santa Cruz Self Storage at 2900 Soquel Ave

Amazing! Peaceful! This is the cleanest facility I’ve seen in Santa Cruz and Cesar was so so so helpful. Moving is stressful and crazy and it was such a relief to receive such supportive service. My rate was fair, and I checked around to a lot of places. Highly recommend!

Extra Space Storage has had great service from the representatives who work at the local storage. But of late seem to have had trouble staffing. However, their agent Cesar was very helpful on 2 occasions and was able to take care of my payment for 2 units when I needed to leave for an appoint and again when there was an issue with my payment amount since I was paying early. I am very grateful for his dedication and service.

Here's the deal: it's a storage unit. It does that right. You've got plenty of options, sizes, buildings on site, and sign up was peachy easy on their website. I did a lotta research for pricing in the area and finally settled on this one, budgeted the monthly amount on the stated, and then spent a small sum and several long days getting my stuff moved into it. Elevator for 2nd floor access and plenty of room to maneuver. Location is a little weird because you have to enter from Soquel eastbound AND exit back onto - no left turn out, unless traffic is dead (so, exclusively 10 o'clock at night). Hours are better than I'm used to, not 24hr but they say there are potentially 24hr options, which I didn't need. One bulb for lighting the unit, which can sometimes be a little dim if you don't see too well in the dark - but that's because the ceilings are nice and high (at least on the second floor) and I'll just set up a portable light if I need that much clarity. If you're in the unit for a long time, say on an organization spree, the automatic lights will need to be waved often, which are at the heads of the hallways. One night I left my unit unlocked and got a call indicating so from their security, so ultimately, thankfully, no heartbreak. Every time I've had an issue, it's been rectified by the personnel. They've all been very nice, amicable, good people. I had a payment question, about current rates and a letter in the mail, and the individual (I can't remember your name I was distraught when I made the call and my memory ain't so good ??) that helped me had me clean and clear in one call, for which I am very, very grateful. I'll update the review if anything changes (employee 5/2/24 at 5pm, you know who you are)(or if I find asbestos or lead or something, you never know), but as it stands I'm pleased with the choice in this area.

Extra Space at Soquel Ave in Santa Cruz has an excellent staff, well-maintained, modern facilities and the best gate hours in Santa Cruz. The gate is open from 6am to 10pm, every day. Some other facilities close at 9pm or 8pm and as early as 5pm on weekends. The units are clean. The staff is friendly and very helpful, including Sunny, D'Pring and Tabitha. I highly recommend this facility.
