This place has raised the rent on my unit twice within a year, going from $265/month when I moved in August 2025 to now nearly $450/month. I originally signed up at $265/month. Shortly afterward, my rent was increased to $399. I was not contacted by phone or email about the increase. When I asked why, I was told that I had signed up under a promotional rate and that a postcard had been mailed to me. The issue is that when I signed up, the website did not indicate that the $265 rate was a temporary promotional price or explain what the rate would increase to. The website simply listed the monthly rate along with a $29 one-time administrative fee. Today I was contacted again and told that my rent would be increasing to nearly $450/month. I was told that this was due to demand for the units and that there was nothing they could do about it since the lease agreement states they can raise the rent by any amount, at any time as long as they give 30 days notice. The thing that makes this especially frustrating is that I can go onto their website right now and see three available units that are the exact same size as mine being advertised for $242/month — while I am being charged nearly $450 for the unit I've already been renting. I understand that businesses can change their pricing (this one says as long as they give 30 days notice), but increasing an existing customer's rent this significantly while simultaneously advertising the exact same type of unit to new customers for almost half the price feels extremely misleading. Will be looking for a new storage facility or maybe will just keep signing up for new units here every other month to avoid the price gouging. TBD brothers.
