I visited the Extra Space Storage facility to check out both a 5x5 and a 10x5 unit. I didn’t have an appointment—I was simply doing my homework, checking out different locations and seeing what was available. I had visited the Rock Creek locations about two weeks ago, but unfortunately, they didn’t have any 10x5 units available. So, I thought, “Why not check out the Margate location?” Little did I know that this little storage-unit adventure was about to turn into such a delightful experience! Enter Mrs. V. (I’m calling her “V” for short ??). I’m not sure if I should use her name directly, but if you visit this location, you’ll know exactly who I mean. She’s maybe 5'2", has fabulous short gray hair, and possesses a smile so contagious it could probably brighten a room that had forgotten how to smile! From the moment I met her, I felt like I had known her forever. You know those rare people you meet and immediately think, “Wait…where have you been all my life?” Yep. That was V. I came in just to look. My original plan was to wait until the end of September before renting, so I was in no rush. But then I started talking and laughing with V—and apparently, my carefully thought-out plans decided to take a vacation! ?? Before I knew it, I had gone from “I’m just looking” to “Okay, I’m renting the 10x5!” And honestly, I couldn’t be happier with the decision. The facility is clean, the location is convenient, and the 10x5 unit is going to meet my needs and then some. But what really made the difference was the experience. V didn’t make me feel like I was just another customer looking for a storage unit. She made me feel welcome, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. And let’s be honest—when you’re shopping for a place to store your stuff, you don’t necessarily expect to leave feeling like you’ve just made a new friend! So, Extra Space Storage, you’ve got a gem at the Margate location. ? The facility is great. The location is great. The unit is exactly what I needed. And Mrs. V? Well…Mrs. V is EVERYTHING! ?? Sometimes you walk into a place expecting to look around for a few minutes and walk out with a storage unit, a smile on your face, and a story to tell. That was my visit to the Margate location—and I’m so glad I stopped by!
