Booking less than 24 hrs was paramount for my immediate needs and this facility made it happen. Previous online booking with the same company allowed for me to know what was expected, but Julie and Sam made it even better by calling, texting and making sure to describe the units as best they can to help. Even making a unit switch easier for my needs. The facility was VERY CLEAN, it had a loading dock that was accessible and the carts were all lined up conveniently for use. The only issue with the company as a whole is that the lock purchases is how they get you. If you are moving from one Extra Space Storage facility to another one elsewhere, you have to almost always repurchase a new lock. These locks are included in the final pricing with no way to get out of it. $20/lock is a bit much, but ultimately, you have locks that you can take with you anywhere. You do have to choose carefully from facility to facility, and ALWAYS ASK about the locks they use so you can be prepared. You don't have to download the app as long as you have an online profile, but it is for convenience if you do not have access to wifi connectivity. I will say that the HELP line to get inside the newer facilities actually work well. Yes, you have to go through the automated prompts, but ultimately you get a LIVE AGENT and they will help you 100%. What was great about this was that it was well after hours in the middle of the night and they answered right away. They also send an issue report to the facility manager so that the next business day they can reach out to you and address the issue the night before. This is why my issue with the lock purchases can be forgiven because one is half a dozen of the other. Last, but not least, having a welcome tag to your unit was a great touch. I know it's a corporate policy to have one on your unit, but it was still nice to have with correct spelling of your name to welcome to your new space. Good service unexpectedly makes all the difference. Follow up to new customers makes all the difference and just being awesome, makes all the difference. Thank you.
