St Cloud Self Storage at 1305 Crawford Ave

Not happy at all. I ordered a 10x15 unit online on Saturday July 22nd in the morning. I was texted a code and a unit number. I arrived with a full truck bed towards the late afternoon to find the code only opens the main gate, not the annex area. I called the office and they tried resetting the code, they tried changing the code and nothing was working so they said they would keep troubleshooting, and to hold on they would be back with me shortly. After about thirty mins of waiting on the office to call me back, i called them and asked if they could just come with a master code to open it. They did, I unloaded what I had and was done for the day because it was about 5:30 and the office was closing and I knew I couldn’t bring another load without being able to access the unit. I tried my code and the one he changed it to on Sunday and it still didn’t work on the annex code boxes but it did work on the main gate. I called hoping to get an after hours person that could help but no answer. So I lost a whole weekend day of moving clutter from the house. I cannot try again today until after work. I’m paying for a unit I cannot access. I will update this review as events unfold and knowledge is acquired. *UPDATE* I was hoping for a response personally since they have my email and information. But I just kept taking time out of my day to run up and check my gate code. It did finally work so I loaded up my rented trailer and began moving stuff. I lost a valuable weekend day and a day of trailer rental waiting for access to my unit. Time is money, and so is a preplanned coveted weekend day, a rented trailer sitting in the driveway and my time with my family when I’m off work. A simple “dear customer, you gate vode should now be active, we’re sorry for the wait, here is some compensation for your inconvenience, how about we give you a reduced rate for you next month.” That would be extending an olive branch. It’s not about how much, it’s the principal. I held on to the trailer to avoid the time, gas and hassle to return it and rent it again when i’ll get charged for the day anyway. I don’t expect perfection, we all make mistakes, it’s how you learn from it, adapt, and do better moving forward. So at that, i’ll bump to 3 stars. Not impressed. Want a five star rating? Be a five star company.

It has been 2 years now, and all has been great. Highly recommended. Needed to find Climate Controlled Storage for my 97 year old mom, moving her from Maryland to Florida. Was able to get the space 5' X 5' set up quickly. The space is brand new, nice and clean, air felt fresh and cool.

I called as it was my first time using an storage the lady over the phone was GREAT everything was so easy to set and then Julian form the office called to explain me everything very detailed and we got there and he was more more helpful than we expected for being our first time.
