Rachelle

October 23, 2026

We have been clients of extra space storage in Kihei Maui since 2012. We only come to Maui once a year and find it convenient to store items for our return. In January we moved from a 4x6 unit to s 4x4 unit. We paid 6 months at $35 a month. We were never emailed or called and only found a postcard indicating the cost was going to be $78 a month. And we could only hold the price for 3 months. Thats a 100% increase We live on the east coast. We called on Tuesday October 20 and spoke to Rick. He said he would help us resolve this outrageous increase. We called on October 23 to try to chat with him. Rick left word that the best he could do was about $60/month. We asked to speak to the Manager, Frank, and we now have a reasonable plan for the next two months. Bottom line. Very helpful staff BUT Bottom line outrageous pricing plan by corporate. Their rules now say prices can change every 3 months! Completely unreasonable. .

We’re glad Rick and Frank were able to help find a reasonable short-term plan, Rachelle. Please contact us at (808) 874-7496 so we can review your concerns further.

Stephen

October 21, 2026

I had an excellent experience with Extra Space Storage in Kihei! The facility is clean, well-maintained, and feels secure. I especially want to express my appreciation for Frank, the store manager, who did an exceptional job walking me through the entire process. He was patient, knowledgeable, and professional, and made sure everything was explained clearly. His outstanding customer service made what could have been a stressful experience smooth and easy. I also want to give a special thank-you to Abrial, who was so nice, friendly, and helpful! She made me feel welcome and added to an already wonderful experience. It’s clear that both Frank and Abrial genuinely care about their customers and go out of their way to provide excellent service. Having a team that is so kind, supportive, and professional really makes all the difference. I’m truly grateful to Frank and Abrial for making the entire process such a positive experience. I would absolutely recommend Extra Space Storage in Kihei to anyone looking for a clean, secure facility with an outstanding team and exceptional customer service!

Thank you, Stephen, for sharing your experience and for recommending Extra Space Storage. We are glad to hear that you found our Kihei facility clean, secure, and well-maintained. We appreciate you recognizing Frank and Abrial, and we will share your kind words with them and the team.
