We've been a Maui Extra Space Storage customer for ten years. The staff at the Kihei Ohukai site for Extra Space Storage is great. The facility is showing its age a bit. The units I've rented have been subject to wind infiltration of dust and such - but wind also moderates the temperature. Lights in the hallways don't provide much help for larger units so have some battery-powered (and maybe motion detecting) lights to help visibility at the back of the unit. The intro "teaser" rates - especially the "web" rate are great. But you must track it! Corporate policy seems to be frequent, automatic raises until the customer reacts. Rate tactics for the customer: pay for 6 months and/or call the LOCAL office when you get a (postcard) notice of a rate increase.

Premises are well cared for. When I've been there to get things or put things in my storage unit I have noticed the staff doing security checks as well as maintaining the walk ways. Frank is friendly and helpful with billing/payments and any inquiries I've had.
