Extremely heated right now. Started off checking with the facility twice whether I can use my own locks, said absolutely no problem. I drive 40 miles to get to the storage unit but I am an open book and would lend them an extra key if they need to search the unit for whatever reason (it was just college move in items). Drove 40 miles, they changed the locks to their branded locks. It even has their sticker. I first calmly call the representative she confirms my lease is active, it’s not due days from now and confirms there is no policy that restricts me from using my own locks. Now I’m just hot, why change the locks? But even if they did, I’d understand if they would atleast call and let me know. Nothing, just screwed me from paying gasoline and I have to wait until tomorrow to speak to the local office cause the national office doesn’t have those details. Very disappointed, you should be aware of this. Sickening!
