Chicago Self Storage at 5160 N Northwest Hwy

This new company took over for the old one. They extended the hours which was a big plus. They added more carts which was another big plus. The floors are cleaner. One last little thing, the toilet paper is softer. When the new owners even improve the toilet paper, that is a good place to do business.

I had a great experience in this location. I was treated so well by John. He was so patient with me. He explained the prices and dimension with such patients. It's nice to know that my storage is safe and that the facility is very clean. Thank you John for your help and kindness.

So far I’m very pleased with selecting this location for my storing needs. The customer service I have received from Jonny and Victor has been very pleasant. My first positive experience was with Jonny when I returned a lock (because I had my own )and was expecting my refund the following payment cycle however I got it instantly in my bank account. That was a plus! Another great service I received was from Victor when he assisted me in getting a bigger storage and took the time to compare prices. Overall everyone treats us great with our questions and they do not rush us through our questions. I would definitely recommend this location!

Came in to inquire about rates. Met a gentleman by the name of Johnny who was at the front desk, despite there being multiple people when I arrived he was very calm, friendly, attentive to everyone. He greeted me immediately and asked how he could help me. I told him I was interested in renting a unit however wasn't sure of the size and needed to see the options. He took the time to show me the various units they had. He showed me 5 different options and was very patient, friendly and attentive with me. He even took the time to show me how the locks work and make sure I knew how to punch in the code correctly. What I appreciated about Johnny is that it showed that he truly cares about his customers. He gave me options based on the unit size I needed and the budget I had. I told him I was concerned about the prices of the unit going up a few months after I rent a unit, as I have experienced this with Public Storage where I felt like it was a bait and switch. He then gave me advice on the best way to make sure my rate stays the same is to prepay and that I could prepay up to 2 years and that if I end up moving out before prepaid period I would get refunded the months I didn't use. After I got the unit, Johnny called to follow up to make sure I was all set and if I had any questions. It very rare to find find people who make sure they have the customers best interest in mind. This is one of the only storage unit facilities I will ever use. The facility is very clean, and I feel safe, staff are awesome and always there to help.

Highly recommend this location. The customer service is phenomenal. The facilities are clean, comfortable and extremely accessible. The staff even helped me find my phone that I accidentally left behind. They are awesome!!!!
