I began renting a storage unit here during the winter. The staff is generally easy to work with, and they were understanding when, admittedly, I had an unexpected life event cause issues with staying right on top of my payments. That was sincerely appreciated, of course. While the limited gate hours were a bummer, they made sense. The protection of the units from weather elements leaves something to be desired. The first handful of visits to the facility, my unit had nearly invisible ice in front of it. Snow wasn't cleared near the units, either. Anyway, the thing that tanks my review to just one star is that when I arrived to clean out my unit yesterday, I discovered that a rodent infestation claimed majority of the boxes I'd been keeping in the unit. (I lost hundreds and hundreds of dollars in clothes, craft supplies, spare medical equipment, and, worst of all, some sentimental items. I certainly didn't expect all this to happen in a matter of 6-8 months while I utilized the storage temporarily.) When I notified the employee, my concerns felt dismissed. I was not offered any kind of mask or gloves to deal with the unit. Additionally, I said that I didn't want to transport items covered in rodent feces to my home... but that I was concerned about being charged for leaving any items. The only solution offered to me was to use the dumpster on-site. I couldn't even reach to open that dumpster - and, again, I didn't want rodent waste in my car. My concerns about the virus that spreads through dust with rodent urine, feces, and saliva was immediately shut down - "That doesn't happen." It does happen, and as someone with severe asthma and allergies, I certainly can't put myself in risky situations like that. I know pests are common in storage facilities, but I did not expect to find piles and piles of feces everywhere. There was also a dead rodent in the back of my unit. Whether it's an "old" problem like I was told or not, I simply cannot recommend this facility to anyone. (Google isn't giving me the option to attach photos, but I do have pictures with evidence of what happened.) I'm in the process of filing a claim for insurance, but I don't have high hopes. Please consider utilizing another storage facility. Thank you for reading my review. Have a wonderful day!
