Wow, plenty of likely-fake reviews propping this place’s score up. Check out for yourself how many of the 5 star reviews have less than 3 reviews total, some only have this one so it’s pretty obvious. Speaking from a year of renting here, my opinion is that this is a horrible facility. They will almost certainly raise your rent by as much as double, they seem to do that to everyone. Ours went from $87 per month for a 10x7 to $163 per month after only 3 months. Then, exactly one year later we receive notice that it’s raising again, this time up to $245(!!!). So after a year the monthly rent tripled. And it’s not like this facility is located in a prime area, it is not. There is nothing around and it’s at least 30 minutes away from DC by car, with no nearby metro connections either. The onsite “security” pays no attention to other tenants letting multiple vehicles inside the gates or other suspicious characters roaming the inside of the facility. And probably the worst part is that this place is not “climate controlled” as they advertise. We measured 85 degrees and over 80% humidity INSIDE the building both in April and August. Several of our wooden furniture pieces have both mold spots and water swelling from a leaky overhead fire sprinkler supply pipe (see photos). So yes, when we received notice of a second rent increase that triple our original rent, we spent the time and effort to pack up everything and move it all across states to Herndon, VA to a competing storage facility that is 10 x 5 (slightly smaller) but only $105 per month and locked in for one year (!). This new facility is definitely climate controlled and the staff are more plentiful and friendlier! So if you’re reading this, please do not fall for their predatory introductory price rates. They absolutely will raise your rent after 3 months and probably again after one year, and this place is definitely not sufficiently climate controlled. Buyer beware and steer clear! The other 5 star reviews are most likely fake.
