The team here is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. I recently moved from California and was really anxious about the process, but when I arrived, the staff guided me through every step with patience and expertise. Huge shoutout to Michael for going above and beyond!

I had a really great experience with the team at this Extra Space Storage location today. I had received a huge rate increase from the company and was dreading talking to someone to figure out my options. I called and was pleasantly surprised by how nice and understanding Michael was about my situation, and he suggested that I swap units to take advantage of significantly cheaper prices. I went in an hour later and both Michael and the store manager Paul were super helpful and walked me through two possible ways I could save money. First, they helped me lower the new proposed rate increase from $234 to $194 (in case I couldn't find a new unit I liked). Second, they showed me a smaller unit (6'x10') that I ended up choosing to move to because it was significantly cheaper. They walked me through the paperwork, got me a new access code, and I moved all my items to the new unit the same day. Thank you again for all your help, Michael and Paul!! For anyone curious about what my pricing and increases were like, I started renting at this location in January 2024 and took advantage of a deal to get a 7'x10' unit for $67. I didn't realize the company would raise my rate so quickly and I chose to pay month to month. Just a few months later in April, the company doubled my rate to $134, which was upsetting but I sucked it up and paid it. Then September rolled around and I received another postcard informing me my rate was increasing to $234 (75% increase), which is what prompted me to reach out to the team today. For anyone else either considering renting at any ESS location or are facing the same problem I had, I strongly encourage you to just head into the office and talk to the team about your options. Remember: the rate increases aren't coming from them directly, it's corporate - so don't be upset with the local team! As a heads up, if you do choose to swap units, you can't stick with the same size unit and will have to choose either a smaller or larger unit. And, if you're able to, lock in that price by pre-paying for 6 months.
