This storage service is a scam. So I got my unit 3 months ago for $87. Pretty decent deal, well right after I pay my 3rd month I get a message that says we are raising your rent to $160 something dollars or more, pretty much doubling my rent within 4 months of having the rental. They wait tell you move all your belongings in and then they jack your price up because they believe you feel stuck, who wants to move their stuff again. Not me, I’ll throw it all away before I pay that much for a unit. If you got the money, it’s an average storage unit, if it’s by you and money doesn’t matter that’s fine, but they are ripping off the hardworking blue-collar Americans and it frustrates me. I understand prices go up, but to straight up double people’s rent right now is inhumane. I also want to note that I never signed no “promotional rate” that was the current rate when I signed up. I love how they twist the words ????? if you rent a storage unit make sure you sign a paper that’s says your payment will be the same for x amount of time, fo example say my payment has to stay $90 for 1 year or im not moving in.
