Hulda
June 18, 2026
I have been a customer at this location since December 2024, and my experience has been incredibly frustrating. When I first signed up for a 5x5 unit, my monthly rate was approximately $33.39. At move-in, I paid upfront for rent and insurance covering December 2024 through June 2025. However, despite already having prepaid through June, I was still charged $54.36 in April 2025. To this day, I have never received a clear explanation for that charge. Things got even worse when I returned from a trip and discovered rodent droppings throughout my unit. I reported the issue and was told it would be addressed. A few months later, I came back and found an even larger amount of rodent droppings. The infestation had clearly not been resolved. Because of this, I was forced to move to a unit on the fifth floor. This was not a move I requested—it was necessary because of the condition of the original unit. Despite being inconvenienced by a rodent problem that was not my fault, my monthly rate increased from $33.39 to $55.78. Then, in June 2026, it jumped again to $82.44. Even after speaking with management, the best they could offer was around $73 per month. I'm sorry, but paying $73-$82 per month for a 5x5 storage unit is ridiculous. What is even more concerning is the complete lack of communication. Every time I question a price increase, I am told that notices were mailed to my address. The problem is that I never receive them. It's 2026, why is a company relying almost exclusively on physical mail for major pricing changes instead of sending emails, text messages, account notifications, or some combination of all three? It feels like a convenient way to claim customers were notified while making it easy for those notices to go unnoticed. The attitude from management has also been disappointing. Whenever I ask about the dramatic rate increases, I get some version of, "We can't control the pricing increases." There is very much an "oh well" mentality rather than any genuine effort to help long-term customers. I also find the 4.9-star rating misleading. If you sort the reviews by lowest rating, you'll see that many customers are complaining about the exact same issue: drastic rent increases after moving in. The responses from management often include a phone number and an invitation to call, but based on my experience, those conversations rarely lead to meaningful solutions. Going from $33 per month to $82 per month in less than two years for the same size unit feels like a classic bait-and-switch. They get customers in with a low introductory rate and then continue increasing prices until moving out becomes the only reasonable option. I cannot recommend this location. Between the rodent infestation, unexplained charges, poor communication, dismissive customer service, and EXTREME price increases, I would strongly encourage anyone considering this facility to read the lowest-rated reviews before signing a contract.
We are disappointed to hear about the rodent infestation, unexplained charges, and rate increases, Hulda. Please contact us at (856) 210-9275 to resolve these concerns.
