This place is a total scam. Got a storage space in Nov, paying monthly with autopay. I noticed that I was charged double the amount in March, but they informed me my rent had increased by 100%. I said that I was not notified and that I wanted to cancel my storage space. They said ok - and confirmed my contract was ended and that I needed to be out of the space by April 21. They confirmed my autopay was stopped and I was paid through the April 21. When I arrived to remove my belonging on April 20th, they advised I had to pay another 1.5x my monthly charge to access my space to move out. The manager on the phone (Walter) was extremely rude and basically said this was all part of the way they run the business. People paying monthly are subject to whatever rent hikes they want to do, and they don’t have to have any acknowledgement of notice if they decide to increase your rate. I paid the amount to get my stuff out, but the amount I paid for the rate hike charge in March plus whatever else they made me pay to get to my space to remove my stuff was more than the amount for the previous three months. Also, another family was there waiting to be helped after me and were also experiencing a crazy rate hike that was causing them to move spaces too.
