Brooklyn Self Storage at 5601 Foster Ave

I usually don't leave reviews, but I feel like people should know about my experience. This was my first time using this storage company, and it will definitely be my last. The staff was never very helpful, and the whole experience felt frustrating from start to finish. At first they put a lock on my unit and charged me $20, and they gave me the key. Then yesterday, I showed up and found out the lock had been changed, they told me I needed to pay another $20 for a new lock. That was the point where I decided enough was enough and moved all my belongings to another storage facility. And guess what they took the lock back lol stating that I didn’t pay for it What makes this even more frustrating is that I somehow ended up with charges totaling $561, and I still don't have a clear understanding of where that amount came from. Yes, I was behind on my payments for two months, but my monthly rent was only $78. Seeing a balance that high was shocking and , they were already talking about auctioning off my belonging and added an auction fee. Fine,The lack of communication, unexpected fees, and overall customer service made this a very stressful experience. I left feeling more confused than anything else. Based on my experience, I can't recommend this company, and I certainly won't be using them again.forgot to add that I asked them I’m ready to lay but at least can yall removed some fees cause this was a lot of money they told me straight up NO. I did not see the need to keep dealing with them.

Customer service in Brooklyn is difficult. I went to 3 different Storage spaces and the service was terrible. After speaking to Stacy from Extra Space Storage, I realized there's still hope... Thank you Stacy for providing an excellent service.

I had a very smooth experience storing my winter belongings here. The staff was extremely helpful, and the facility was very clean, organized, and well maintained. The whole process was easy and stress-free. I definitely recommend this storage place.

I had a great experience here. As a college student who was utterly stressed out trying to move in all my things the night before my morning flight home the next day, Shaquan was so accommodating, understanding, and helpful. I called ahead of time explaining how stressed I was and he prepped my storage unit before my arrival, he had it open and with the ladder right at it before I even arrived. And then he stayed extra to make sure I had everything in order. Truly a great experience and I’m so grateful, will definitely be storing with them again.
