Oklahoma City Self Storage at 13600 S Meridian Ave

So far so good. Clean facility, cheap monthly rate and friendly staff. The only drawback is no 24/7 access, but honestly I think it helps with overall security of the place. Personal thank you to Laura. She was super helpful and knowledgeable! She even went the extra step to go out and measure the opening of the unit to make sure it would work. Thanks, Laura!

Been renting here almost a month, and here is my honest review so far. Starting with the Good. I was able to sign up via Extra space.com and it took less than 10 minutes. Was given a gate code and drove in and drove up to my unit within 20 min. Needed my box cutter to cut the zip tie and lock was already inside ready to use ( facility uses DISK LOCKS not cylinder locks so if you have a lock that works and don't need their lock drop it back at the office for a refund if you sign up online) Property Manger did greet me shortly as she was already on the property. Very friendly and knowledgeable and very helpful too. I was a bit impressed she already knew I signed up. Likely instant notifications on her phone since she wasn't in the office but cleaning out another storage unit, so very responsive if you need assistance. New facility so it's really clean, a bit dusty but is in a nice windy area has industrial neighbors and near the airport so it's not to creepily quiet during business hours. Also looks to be a fire hydrant on site so that's nice, plus good amount of setback from the neighbors so feels good for safety and security of my items. Onsite trash in the back, and even though I have a smaller unit I have a LED light strip in the unit! a major plus if you need to move or organize after peak daylight hours within 6am-10pm still for gate hours. The not so good.. Google maps hasn't updated to show the facility and Extra Space does not list any site maps online or at least during the time I would have found it helpful. There is only ONE gate into the facility from what I can see. I used to work in storage myself, and I know it only takes ONE person to hit the gate for it to be down. So there is that risk.. I don't believe there is an outside road on one of the rows of units which means you may have to back up and turn around depending on where your unit is located. I don't believe there is an after hours bathroom on site, however there is a park near by with porter potties and a few gas stations a bit farther up the road. Oh and they do require insurance, so the prices are not as advertised. lowest insurance is 11 bucks a month with Extra Space. Or course you could get your own insurance provider however they list they require proof at beginning of lease so plan accordingly. Overall great place and fair prices. I was hoping to see how well lit it was at night before I made my review but just never got around to being here at night. They do have a bunch of outside lights and the LED lights in unit so should be fine. Plus it's nice having a storage unit at a facility that is off the major roadways but right next to the interstate. So it actually feels far safer going in and out here than at other self-storage places I had in the past. If you made it this far and still have storage needs. What are you waiting for?
