We’ve been renting storage units at Extra Space Storage on 185th in Beaverton for a couple of years now, and our experience has been nothing short of excellent. The facility is always clean, well-maintained, secure, and easy to access. But what truly makes this location stand out is the incredible customer service, especially from Randy! What motivated me to finally write this review was my visit today. I stopped by looking to rent an additional storage unit, and once again, Randy went above and beyond. He took the time to walk me through the available options, answered all my questions, and helped me find exactly what I needed. He even went the extra mile to secure a fantastic rate that I genuinely wasn’t expecting! What I appreciate most about Randy is that his kindness and professionalism aren’t just a one-time thing. Throughout the years we’ve been customers, he’s consistently been welcoming, helpful, honest, and genuinely interested in making sure we’re taken care of. Got a call, my unit was burglarized. Too late to go there- had to go next day. My lock wasnt cut- thier door was. Police reports made - two. One mine, the other Extra Space. Theirs got an investigation- mine didn't. Three diff officers- none w time to fill out felony burglary- instead directed me to fill out online - where claim is limited to under felony value. "put $1 for each item" Allows police to avoid felony investigation. No refund from Extra Space on three years of storage, 13k loss. Theft is 100% on Extra Space for not addressing known flaw enabling same M.O. to repeat success across multiple states. HPD not a help. No investigation. No charges. No restitution path. So: HPD 1 star also. Ineffectual as a storage facility with an attendant who thinks he can leave the place unattended, and call it secure. Amateurs. Go with a place that has someone on site, and won't steal your lock when you move out. One where you won't be likely to move out as a result of their total inability to do the one job they were hired and paid thousands of dollars to do. EXTRA SPACE = FAIL.
