I would like to give praise for having a clean facility, friendly staff, and lots of light to help renters feel safe. I do have one complaint. The dampness!!! I do agree that the temperature is kept in the 60's all the time. That is considered climate controlled, but....the dampness is terrible. I was at the facility for 4 months. Several of my items had a coating of mildew growing. All my fabric items smelled of mildew and had to be air out. Even the support pole in the center of my unit had mildew growing on it. This should be addressed.

Its a nice, clean facility but watch out for your items! I had my storage unit for 4 months, everything i had got mold/mildew on it from being stored in the facility! I do not believe its climate controlled. So be careful of your items but otherwise nice facility and friendly staff.

I had an awesome experience. Khaleel was very knowledgeable and very helpful. He got me set up for everything I needed. He made everything go as smooth as possible.He was an excellent professional and I really appreciated the fact that I got to deal with him. We are in the midst of lengthy remodel of the entire first floor of our house and needed storage for furniture and other household items. Our initial experience with Extra Space in Red Lion, PA was 5-star. We rented a 10x30 space at a great rate. The facilities were clean and climate controlled. However, over the course of our rental, the rate was first double and then tripled. We are now paying approximately $375 per month. Due to the increasing cost, we decided to downside at the same storage facility. This time we locked our rate for four months on a multi-access 10x20 space. When I went to the storage facility, I was surprised to find that I did not rent a 10x20 with multiple doors, but rather two adjacent 10x10 units. We can make this work; I just recommend that this agreement be referred to as multi-unit rather than multi-access. The rental agreement only lists one unit number and did not clarify multi-unit. Extra Space has an opportunity to be more transparent when bundling units. Due to the significant increase in monthly rental rates on our first unit and a misleading rental agreement on our downsize, I am lowering my rating to 3-stars. Great out of the gate, but somewhat disappointing down the stretch.

Had a great conversation with the Red Lion location today. The CSR mentioned he Is from the Mechanicsburg location and was just filling in temporarily for the day. He was incredibly helpful and understanding of a difficult situation. Great Customer Service and a company that clearly cares about their customers.
