I previously left a review for another Extra Space Storage location. That location and staff were wonderful. After a move I decided to move storage locations closer to home and wanted to go with them again based on previous experience. However, this time my experience was much different. Joe was the person onsite working. Upon arrival at this location the door was locked which isn’t odd because I know they have to step away. I called the number on the door and immediately was met with a cold tone and I felt like I was bothering him. When he got to the door very unwelcoming and cold tone. I told him I was there to rent a new unit and he sit down and started to look over his. He told me what he had and at what prices. When I asked clarifying questions again he was rude and condescending in tone. He was very rushy and pushy to make a decision. I picked a unit in a hurry and he begin sign up. He asked me about paying for the $20 lock and I told him I would bring the one I currently have with the company. He said can you get it here tonight because it has to have a lock on it? I replied I can always run to Walmart to grab one for cheaper for now if required because I didn’t see a point in buying theirs because I have one I’ve all ready purchased through them. He responded yea go get one for $15 from Walmart doesn’t save any money very rude! The issues with Joe went beyond these examples but I’ve shared enough. The location has a clean interior and nice app entry. If you were to look at my other reviews you will see I’m not the type to down a business or staff. This experience was the exception unfortunately and if I wasn’t on a time crunch I would’ve walked out of there and looked for a better place to store my things.
