Moving across the country- especially on short notice and without family or job lined up- leaves one somewhat stranded with an enormous pile of belongings and no place to put them. Not to mention a new-to-me tropical environment that isn’t user friendly on many counts. Somewhat daunted (okay- daunted in all its glory) I began searching for a facility online, not knowing exactly what it was yet that I would need except that it had to be very secure, clean, well lit and first floor. Air conditioning was new to my world, but when I went to Extra Space Storage I was absolutely thrilled. It has everything- and MORE! And air conditioning during a South Carolina summer moving marathon was beyond words wonderful. It has flat carts for my boxes, a secure gate and perimeter - super clean and well lit. I spoke with Christian, who is one of the friendliest people I’ve met here in my new world. Christian manages the facility and was on site- another rare thing. I’ve actually run into a real person! And he answers the phone! There’s a certain relief with knowing that my stuff is safely interred here- AND a really nice friendly guy is watching over the place and actually managing it. I know my stuff is safe- and I can genuinely recommend it to anyone else looking for a storage facility.
