I had my storage unit at this facility for several years without any issues until the new management company took over. Previously, I was able to make partial payments online with my account. After the ownership change, I was informed that if a payment is made after the due date, both the past-due balance and the next month’s rent must be paid in full. When I called to make a partial payment toward my past-due balance, I was told I needed to sign a form for the payment to be accepted. Based on that conversation, I understood the form was only to authorize the partial payment. I was not clearly informed of any additional consequences of signing it. Shortly after, additional fees were added to my account and a lien was placed on my unit. Since then, I have repeatedly requested a copy of the agreement I signed, a breakdown of the charges, and clarification of the payment options I was told were available. Despite multiple emails, I have not received a response. My concern is the lack of transparency and communication during the payment process and the inability to get clear answers afterward.
