Very disappointing experience with Extra Space Storage. I signed up with a monthly rate of around $55, and the company never clearly explained that the rate could increase so quickly. I had autopay enabled, and after only 2 months my monthly payment was nearly doubled without a clear warning. When I noticed the change, I tried to resolve it in a professional way. I visited in person and called multiple times, and each time I was told someone would call me back or offer a solution — no one followed through. Extra Space Storage claims they notify customers by “mail,” which is not reliable at all, especially for people who travel or move. I explained I no longer had access to my old mailing address and asked for email or phone communication, but they did not help. This feels like a deceptive pricing strategy that depends on customers not noticing, and since moving storage units is difficult, they rely on people staying and paying the higher rate. I am attaching screenshots showing the monthly charges and the sudden rate increase. I do not recommend Extra Space Storage.

Mr. Mike Grubbs is a Store Manager who is understanding, empathetic in interactions and ensures customers feel valued. Although I have a limited timeline and drop-off location spot for a PODS container, he managed the necessary accommodations without any delay. He is really good at focusing on what I need and require. Mr. Grubbs has a real instinct to understand and provide solutions to his customers' needs. Excellent customer service, and keep it up!
