I DO NOT recommend this company for your storage needs. AT ALL. In fact, based on my experience, I would tell people to stay the hell away. I have done business with this company at TWO different locations — their Round Rock location off Redbud and their Manor location off 290 — so this isn’t based on one isolated experience. They’ll get you in the door with an incredibly low introductory rate that looks great on paper. In my case, my rate was around $150 before taxes. I moved in April. By June, that “great deal” magically became around $250 after taxes. That is absolutely ridiculous. The entire setup feels like a bait-and-switch. Get customers in with an attractive low price, then jack the rate up so dramatically that the average person may suddenly find themselves unable to afford their own storage unit. And if you can’t pay? They can take possession of your property and hold it until you’re able to pay or they eventually sell it. That’s a hell of a business model. Thankfully, I was fortunate enough to have the money, space, and ability to move my belongings. But I still ended up making about three payments at $250, which were three payments more than I ever should have had to make for a storage unit that started out around $150. This is a piece-of-crap storage company, and I would not recommend them to anyone. Honestly, I would recommend U-Haul before this place. At least U-Haul’s prices may be high, but they are upfront about what they charge. You know what you’re getting into instead of being lured in with one price and then getting hit with a massive increase shortly afterward. This place is a complete SCAM. Save yourself the headache, the bullshit, and the possibility of having your belongings held hostage over a price increase you never expected. Go somewhere that is actually upfront about what it’s going to cost you.
