I reserved since October and got a monthly rate of $45. I have mentioned that i will be needing the storage until end of August of the ff year. I was told the rate wont change and its locked. Then in May it increased by 75%, from $45 to $79. It s probably because of a lot of college students need the storage but that shouldnt apply to those who already got the unit months ahead. They like to take advantage by giving these low rates to lure you and once your things are there, after few months they raise it significantly and you dont have a choice but take it since its not easy to transfer from one storage to another. I informed them about this but all i received is about market and availability that caused the spike, like AI prepared, no customer service. I cant even see my contract in my account to dispute this. So be careful when they say its locked in rate verbally. Document it. 2nd , I moved out on 8/29 and have informed them but i got a notification to pay on Sept 6. They should even prorate the payment i had in August since it covers until Sept 5. Whats the point of informing them that u moved out and still u get notification to pay. I removed my auto debit pay so they cant charge. They might charge even if u move out because of operational inefficiency. And they refuse to prorate the monthly rent, that i should have informed them ahead. I did inform them when i got the storage that it will be until August. But i dont have the lease agreement to dispute this. I was even told its only a week early i moved out. One week is about 1/4 of one month, which is about $20. So if i say can i extend 1 week early, will you give it for free???? I dont think so. Also, its not just the cost, its more of them blaming me for not getting it documented that i didnt appreciate. It 's not nice to scam people.
