Extra Space Storage of San Diego, California makes moving in and out easier by providing drive aisles wide enough for semi-trucks and ground level, drive-up self-storage units. We are conveniently located on Miramar Road, just a mile from the Miramar Museum and close to Interstate 15 (I-15). Our facility has 500 self-storage units ranging in size from 4’x 5’ to 23’x 23’ and our knowledgeable storage specialists can help you determine the unit that fits your needs. Because we value our customers’ security, our facility has motion detection cameras providing 24-hour video surveillance, electric gate access and a manager who lives onsite. Our extended gate hours are longer than most other storage facilities’ and allow you to access your belongings when you need them. Our facility also offers a unique feature called DocuSign, an electronic lease that you sign digitally to save time. As part of the community, many of our customers enjoy shopping at University Town Center and Miramar Village Shopping Center and recreating at La Jolla Beach and Torrey Pines Golf Course. We are also close to the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar (MCAS Miramar), Scripps Ranch, Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla, the Chargers Stadium, University of California – San Diego (UCSD) and University City. Extra Space Storage is a wonderful storage facility. Margie is very knowledgeable about the products, insurance, etc. and was a joy to deal with. We have had one unit here for 6 years, and I'm just getting another one. The price may be a little higher than some other facilities due to the location, however, if you want to feel safe & get great customer service, this is definitely the place to go!

Outstanding Customer Service !!!!!!!. The staff went above and beyond to help me. I was moving with a new born, and was unable to make it on time to the storage facility. In order to help me out, Extra space Storage opened up for me at 6:00 on a saturday when they usually open at 9:30 to help accomodate my needs. I never experience a company who would go out of their way to help me out. Thank God they did help me because I had a flight a 9:15 to catch that morning. Margie even had helpful information on a cab service for me. I would highly recommend Extra Space storage in Miramar Rd to everyone. Thank You for the great service.

Friendly accommodating management staff with a clean office (and restroom). Never had a problem with attempted break-in, never had insect or rodent problems. Billing was disappointing in that they (for auto-bill) require payment for a full month in advance regardless of weather you use the full month, even when given notice far in advance of when property was removed.
