Our facility has 629 self-storage units ranging in size from 5’x 5’ to 10’x 30,’ some of which are climate-controlled for sensitive items. We also have storage spaces for RVs, cars, boats and other vehicles. Our knowledgeable storage specialists can help you determine the unit that fits your needs. And to make your move easier, we’ve implemented convenient features like drive aisles wide enough for semi-trucks and drive-up units. Our extended gate hours are longer than most other storage facilities’ and allow you to access your belongings when you need them. The manager was extremely friendly and informative and helped us choose the best unit for the items we were going to store. The security is top notch and the units are extremely clean. My needs have changed and I needed a larger storage unit for my family's items. Manager at site was very helpfull and worked with all my needs to find larger unit and perfect location for major moving chain to unload items. You are not treated as a payment at this location. Manager takes care of your situation and needs and finds the best for you in all areas of storage needs. I used to store my items at another location, until the breakins were to much to handle. I found that this extra space was indeed the most secure location I have ever found. They have cameras, unit door alarms, and even local police patrol inside the gates at night. This location is just like fort knox. I would urge anyone needing storage to look no further than extra space.

I currently rent with Extra Space in other state. I found that no matter what area you find yourself, you will always find an Extra Space that is very clean and secure. This location in Hickory, NC is by far the most secure and no other company can come close to how clean it is here. I have rented at every storage place in Hickory that I was not afraid of entering. By far this EXTRA SPACE place is the best in security with alarmed doors and cameras. No place is as clean or friendly by far. The prices are right on track with any other storage place. The only thing they could do would be expand place to make more units. We have been a customer at ExtraSpace for a couple months. We have been incredibly pleased with the service we have received and the quality of the facility. The facility is always clean and the security cameras, automatic gates and fencing makes me feel confident my things are safe (and I feel safe when I am there putting stuff in or getting stuff out) - even later in the evening. The staff have always been pleasant to deal with and extremely helpful. They are always running great promotions and their refer-a-friend program is an excellent way to tell others about this great storage facility and save money on your own unit. Having reviewed a number of local competitors, I can confidently tell you that ExtraSpace is the best for price, quality and customer service.
