I rented a unit for over (15) years and finally got a chance to return to CT to close out my account but had to down-size to a smaller unit to accommodate me not being able to move the ridding lawnmower from the unit before the date the current contract ended (1 Oct. 2026). On 27 Sep. 2026, I requested a "grace period" until 5 Oct. 2026 to have the storage cleared; the local location manager agreed to work with my request because he understood I was on a business trip to CT from AZ and had a very short travel window I had to work with,,,,BUT after suggesting that I reach out to their main office manager (Britt) for his approval....EVERYTHING took a turn for the absolute WORSE. Not only did (Britt) not grant me the "grace period" I requested, but he wants to charge me for the FULL PRICE for renting the unit just as it was being rented for the (15) years. I told him I'm more than willing to pay for the unit for an extra month at the regular monthly rental price, but (Britt) said "no" I have to pay the full price just as the (15) year price. He gave me sooo much push-back even when I explained to him that I was already in route to AZ, and I had a friend that lives in Stamford, CT that agreed to remove the mower and place it in the smaller unit I'm renting there. NO Cgange, he wants over $700 for a 5-6 days rental..... This is a complete MESS right now.... L.H.
