I had to move the majority of my belongings out of my home to stage it to be sold and Extra Space was perfect for keeping everything stored. I ended up having a UHaul for both load in and load out and the manager was super helpful and kind in helping with the gate and parking the big ole truck so that getting everything in and out was easier. That is my only caveat: if you'll be using a moving truck, you won't be able to pull into the facility, so depending on where your unit is in the building, it may be a longer walk but it wasn't a deal breaker for me. But just FYI. Oh! The elevator was BIG! You can fit a couple carts in and more things. Super helpful when you are moving lots of stuff. I helped a friend move things into another storage space on 7th Ave and it had the TINIEST elevator, you could barely fit a cart inside. You also had to use a number code to get in the building and up the elevator so helping the friend was annoying because we couldn't just divide and conquer. At Extra Space, once you use your code to get inside the building it was fast to take loads to and from the unit and having friends help me was easy. If I needed to store things again would happily go back.
