Everything you read in these reviews are true: their kind, it's clean, it's prices below market value . . . But, what I wasn't told (which probably in the contract some place) is that after four months the rate is increased to compete with other rental places. Google says about the rate increase: "AMOUNT: Rent hikes can be substantial, sometimes ranging from modest adjustments to significant increases (with some renters reporting jumps of 50% to over 100% after an initial low online promotional rate)." "FREQUENCY: Increases often happen every few months (frequently within 4 to 8 months of moving in) or during peak moving and summer seasons." "NOTICE: Extra Space Storage policy generally states they provide a 30-day notice prior to rate adjustments, though some customers report issues with notification delivery."
