Extra Space Storage Customer Service, This review is regarding multiple incidents that occurred over a span of years: from sometime in January 2023 to May 2023, and from August 2024 to March 2025. What transpired as a customer at Extra Space Storage was disturbing and offensive. Pardon me in advance for any limited information. Sometime in late April or early May 2023, a woman or women, whom I am still unsure as to whether it was a customer or customers and/or a resident or residents who were living and may still live in a home or homes across the street from Extra Space Storage, shouted obscene/slanderous comments about me as I was going through my unit. Some of the comments that were said were, "James Dominguez was raped" and other obscene, disrespectful, and offensive comments. Unfortunately, I do not recall all of the comments that were made. I responded, “James Dominguez didn’t get raped,” and made other comments. Again, I am still unsure as to who it was. Although I have suspected and still suspect that it was a woman or women who lived and might still live in one of the homes across the street, and/or some African American women, and/or a heavy set white woman who was/were renters of a storage unit at Extra Space Storage at that time. Please view the attached photos of the areas where I suspected those random women shouted obscene/slanderous comments about me. About a few days later or so, I was informed by an Extra Space Storage employee (Light-skinned African American, male, heavy set/overweight, 45 to 55 years old, and about 6’0 to 6’2 in height) that my lease agreement was being terminated and that I must vacate the unit within a certain period of time. He claimed that someone or people reported that I was shouting and being disruptive. I explained to him that someone or people on the premises and/or across the street made obscene comments about me. I simply responded to those comments. I wasn’t comfortable with people making obscene/slanderous comments about me. Apparently, he viewed the cameras and heard and saw nothing. I then had no choice but to vacate the unit. Also, please try to understand how I felt at that time. Moreover, I had no intention of moving out of the facility. I was content with the facility, the unit, and its services. It was unfair and upsetting. Sometime between August 2024 and September 2024, I began hanging around the property. I was facing homelessness at that time. I’d go there to charge my electronics, use the restroom, fill my bottles with water, workout, work on administrative tasks, and do a little investigating. Please keep in mind that I was still upset with what transpired the year before, not including the fact that I feel like it had something to do with what I experienced at different county jails and state prisons. Also, I completely understand that Extra Space Storage and the property it is on isn’t a public place where I can hang out, like a beach or park. During the days when I would stay around or on the property, there were instances where random people would shout obscene/slanderous comments about me from inside and/or outside of the property. I responded, “James Dominguez didn’t get raped” and other comments. I suspected and still suspect that it was the same women who made similar obscene/slanderous comments about me from before. It was a constant thing that occurred every day. It was not just annoying but bothersome, disturbing, frustrating, maddening, and upsetting. There were also a few verbal altercations with different people, which took place at night. Thankfully, nothing serious took place while I was there. After a couple of months of hanging around the property, Rodrigo approached me a few times. He asked me if I was a renter with Extra Space Storage the first time we encountered each other. I confirmed that I wasn’t and explained what I was doing on the property. Rodrigo then informed me that I could not hang around the property and instructed me to leave the property.
